How to change binding order to add multiple IP addresses on Windows Server 2003

We are running Windows Server 2003 server for our office. I have single network card but I want to add multiple IP addresses on this card so that whenever our first source of internet fails, we can switch to another without the need to make changes in the configuration. Any one can just change the wire to up the line. But I don't know how to do so? Can you provide me various possible solutions to set multiple IP addresses on Windows Server 2003? May be I think we can do so by changing binding order!

To change the binding order of network adapters:

1. Click Start, click Run, type ncpa.cpl, and then click OK. You can see the available connections in the LAN and High-Speed Internet section of the Network Connections window.
2. On the Advanced menu, click Advanced Settings, and then click the Adapters and Bindings tab.
3. In the Connections area, select the connection that you want to move higher in the list. Use the arrow buttons to move the connection.

To add multiple IP addresses:

1. Click Start, click Run, type ncpa.cpl , and then click OK. The available connections appear in the LAN and High-Speed Internet section of the Network Connections window.
2. Right-click the network adapter that you want to change, click Properties, and then click the General tab.
3. In the This connection uses the following items box, select Internet Protocol (TCP/IP). Then, click Properties.
4. In the Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) Properties dialog box, click the General tab, and then click Advanced.
5. On the IP Settings tab, click to clear the Automatic metric check box. Then, type a value in the Interface metric box.

Adding Multiple IP Addresses on Windows Server 2003 is very simple. Just follow the below steps and you can use as many IP addresses as you want.

1. Open Control Panel and Network Connections.
2. Right-click the LAN connection and select properties.
3. Select Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) and click properties.
4. Select "Use the following IP Address" and enter the primary IP Address, Subnet mask and Gateway and the primary and secondary DNS Servers.
5. Click Advanced then Add under IP Addresses.
6. Add the IP Address and Subnet mask. Repeat the procedure if there are additional IP Addresses to be added.
7. Click Add under "Default Gateways" and add the gateway addresses.
8.Click OK then OK and then OK to save the changes.

You need to change your binding order in Windows Server 2003. Make sure that the interface with the IP Address that is most active is at the top of the binding order.

1. Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.
2. Double-click Network and Dial-up Connections.
3. On the Advanced menu, click Advanced Settings.
4. In the Connections box, select the adapter you want to change the binding order on. After you select the adapter, the Bindings for Local Area Connection box displays the current binding order.
5. Use the arrows on the right-side of the box to move the protocol you choose to the top of the list, and then click OK.
6. If you are prompted to restart the computer, click Yes.
