What is Cisco Switch's Default Password

Hi,

I have a Cisco 2960 router. How I can reset password for cisco switch 2960 (line console password and enable password) I cannot enter to enter to switch. What is Cisco Switch's Default Password?

The default pre-configure username/password is cisco/cisco. If that isn't working, then either somebody already has configured the box with a different username/password. If you have console access then try configuring a username and password, but it is normally done by hitting the break key when reseting the router (while your conected via console connection)

It depends on the model of the switch, but to be able to reset the passwords you do have to be connected to the switch via console cable, depending on the model there is a way to reset the password for privilege user mode. If you forget the password, the Cisco device can be accessed with the factory-installed password.
