Getting into BIOS on gateway computer

I had installed Windows Xp on my system. I had given a gateway computer and now i would like to wipe it out. For doing that i'm trying to get in to the Bios, but i'm unable to do so. Can any body tell me that how do get in to the BIOS on gateway computer? Does any body knows about it? Kindly provide me the correct solution for the above issue. Would be grateful to you if any body provides me the correct solution for the above issue.

If it will not go into the BIOS setup at all then that indicates a probable failure in the motherboard or CPU. For most Gateway computers, in order to enter the BIOS Setup Utility, turn on the computer, and then immediately start pressing the F1 key until the BIOS Setup Utility starts.

Check Gateways website for details on a specific model. Also verify if the motherboard is Gateway original. To get into the BIOS. It usually requires the push of a function key, such as F10, to get access to it. That "F" key varies between computers. Sometimes it’s not even one of the Function keys, but the ESC key or DEL key. F1 works on many Gateway Desktops while F2 works on many Gateway laptops.
