ADSL vs ETHERNET cable length losses

Good Day everybody,
I have a question to an expert person in networking branch.

I have the following scheme:

ADSL cable. . . . . . . . . . . .ETHERNET cable
(wall socket)------------------ROUTER-------------------------PC

<---------------------------2.5 meter--------------------------->

the whole present distance is 2.5 m.

Now, if I want to increase the distance to 10 m, which cable is better to be longer with minimum signal loss ?? the ADSL cable (normal telefone line rj11) or the ethernet (LAN cable UTP rj45) ??????

Well RJ 11 would be better choice. RJ 11 connector uses onepair telephone line wires which can carry signal to much longer distances, you can images the distance between a telephone exchange and your home. On the other hand 4 pair cat 5 cable which uses RJ45 connectors has a distance of 100m after which the connection will not negotiate any signals. This is my advice, in your case its only 2.5m but still the decision will be yours... All the best!

but please don't tell me "the last decision is mine!!!" I need your advice, I have both types of cable, you advice me to extend the ADSL cable ??
