    Zcom_Ad Netzero message

    Hi friends,

I have Netzero HighSpeed 3G internet service. Whenever I restart or turn off the computer, I get a "close program box" that is titled "Zcom_Ad". Does anybody know any information about Zcom_Ad. I haven't heard anything about this before. So, I was wondering if anyone was having the same issue that i am having....please help

    thanks

    Re: Zcom_Ad Netzero message

I think Zcom_Ad belongs to the Netzero HighSpeed 3G internet service with the g3 fast access. Well, NetZero says Zcom_Ad is not one of their files or programs. However, I too started getting the Zcom_ad message after I downloaded their HiSpeed 3G update to my NetZero program. Can I get a confirmation whether this is a NetZero program and not a security problem?

You will need to change a certain view options on your system so that you can view/find hidden files/folders/extension. By default, Windows XP hides these from users. Here's what you need to do:

Go to Start >> Settings >> Control Panel >> Folder Options >> View tab.

    1. Uncheck "Do Not show hidden files and folders"
    2. Check "Show hidden files and folders"
    3. Uncheck "Hide Extensions for known file types"
    4. Uncheck "Hide Protected Operating System Files (recommended)".
    5. Click on APPLY and OK at the bottom of the window.

If you can find Zcom.ad, try to rename as Zcom1.ad and check whether if 3G stops working correctly.
You can always name it back if necessary.

    Re: Zcom_Ad Netzero message

Well, someone had also asked me whether Zcom_Ad is a Password Stealer !!!

But No, it's not a Password Stealer. However, to get rid of any problem related to Zcom_Ad, you can download and install TrojanHunter in your PC.

If you don't have firewall installed, also use a reliable firewall like ZoneAlarm
