Re: Reset netgear wireless router

  • Unplug or turn off your DSL/cable modem.
  • Locate the small button on the back of router , with text Reset.
  • Press it hold down for 30 seconds.
  • Wait for your Power, WLAN and Internet light to turn on. (On the router)
  • Plug in or turn on your modem.
  • Open your web browser to see if you have an internet connection. If you still don't have an internet connection you may need to restart your computer.

If you can't find it, then just unplug the power cord and wait a minute or two. It works the same way, it will reset itself.

You can reset the router using your browser also.
  • Open your browser like IE and got ot address 192.168.1.1.

  • And login in it with admin name and password for your router.

  • Now go in to System Tools and select the Reboot option. That will reboot your router.

Re: Reset netgear wireless router

Its always better to reboot the router with the browser instead of manually pressing the reset key at the back of the router.

Default admin name for is admin

And Password is password.

You can also "reset DHCP" in the network settings on your computer.
