Wireless Printer shows offline on Mac

I am having Apple's Macbook. Everything seems to be working perfect on my macbook except the wireless printer. When I try to print any documents or images from my Macbook, the printer utility tells me that the wireless printer is offline. Why macbook is showing the wireless printer as offline ? can somebody explain....thanks

The first thing you must check the communications between your Macbook and the wireless printer.
Open "Safari" > select "Bookmarks" > then select "Show All Bookmarks" > on the left pane, click "Bonjour" and check whether the wireless printer is listed. If you see the printer listed, double-click on its name and check whether it opens the printer's internal web page. If you see the name, then it's sure the Mac is communicating with the printer.
Next,
- Open "Print and Fax" application under "System Preferences".
- Remove the printer from list by selecting it and pressing the [-] button.
- Waiting a few moments and then add the printer again by pressing the [+] button, by selecting the printer and then press Add.

I had also faced the same problem few months back where my HP printer was not being detected and was appearing as offline. I performed the following steps and then after the restart, it showed HP printer.

• Go to Print & Fax, click + (add).
• Click on More Printers
• Find HP IP protocol
• Check IP address
• Enter IP address

I think there might be some network error.
I can just suggest you to remove and re-install the printer and check whether it appears or shows on your macbook after restart.
