    Information about gtb tmp.exe

    hello friends,

When I ran my Kaspersky Antivirus program (which I usually do once a week) for searching and removing threats, the antivirus program found these following files - gtb65.tmp.exe, gtb95.tmp.exe, gtb12A.tmp.exe and 5 more of these similar types. It did not provide any additional information. I need to know about these gtb#tmp.exe files.

Can anybody please provide the ideas about the same ?
    thank you !!

The gtb.tmp.exe file is nothing but a Google Toolbar trying to phone home to download the latest version of Toolbar. These are the automatic updates which are used to ensure that everyone has the latest security fixes and features, and your firewall is doing its job and alerting you that Toolbar is trying to connect to our servers.

One workaround is to install the latest version of Toolbar manually from the Toolbar homepage: http://toolbar.google.com/T6

The gtb tmp.exe files are associated with Google Toolbar. I would have suggest you to block these files using Firewall but since the filename varies slightly eachtime, so blocking it with a Firewall would only support once....simply reinstall Google Toolbar....it might help.

Well, I think you can delete these files from the temporary folder. Since, these are not dangerous or destructive files, it is perfectly safe to remove them.
