Install Samba it is a free software that supports the CIFS protocol (Common Internet File System), formerly known as SMB (Server Message Block), released under GNU GPL 3, it is used for sharing resources (files, printers ...) through the network between Microsoft Windows and Linux. This is very useful to share data easily between two different operating systems, we will see throughout this tutorial how to install and configure the Samba software.
No configuration is specific to do, you must configure your Windows exactly as if they shared files via Ethernet (TCP / IP) with other windows. If you do not know how to do this, refer to one many popular sites on windows. If you have NT on your network (NT, 2000, XP) be sure to create users for Windows machines or Linux network can access resources on your machine.
