What is true vector service ?

hello people,

Yesterday, when i was surfing on my internet, the firewall popped up and said something about "true vector service", what is it ? I am completely unaware of this. Can anybody please explain me about - What is vector sector service ? and how do I get rid of it?

ARE YOU USING ZONE ALARM ?

I think True Vector Service is a part of ZoneAlarm. I would suggest you to uninstall or disable ZoneAlarm, and you will easily get rid of true vector service.

First Unistall Zone Alarm...
Start --> Settings --> Control Panel --> Administrative Tools --> click Services.
Check for the True Vector Service and disable/stop it.
Once completed, try to reinstall.

TrueVector is the technology underlying ZoneAlarm. A true vector service is a program in Windows NT/2000/XP that runs in the background.

The cause of the problem seems as if an old version of ZoneAlarm is running and the new install program can't stop it to allow the update.

Check if ZoneAlarm was previously installed, and use Add/Remove Programs to delete it.
Open Control Panel > Administrative Services > Tools > Right click on TrueVector > Either stop it (and try installing the new ZoneAlarm) or set it not to start automatically

Restart the system and then try to install the new ZoneAlarm.
