There is no way to convert a 8 wire Cat 5 to 2 wire Coax. There is no such media converter available. Why don't you just install a new Ethernet Lan Card on the old computer? That will just do the work fine... By the way coax bnc is too old... |

Also you can try this : If you have a other BNC lan card, then just install in any new computer and bride the lan and bnc networks. But i don't think this will work too. Just a suggestion, I have never seen the BNC connector lan card in my entire life... ![]() |

The most simpler way to get your old computer networked with the new one is, you will have to search the computer old parts shops, which would have the hub which had one bnc connector with 4 Ethernet ports. Use this to connect to your old computer, then a cross cable to connect this old hub to the newer switch on your network. Will do the trick... |
