How to setup Static IP Configuration

    Hello.

I am using Linux, I decided to discover OpenSolaris and test it in production on a small Samba file server (200 GB mirrored ZFS).

I would like to place in the Samba server a fixed IP. I can use the graphical network configuration after disabling nwamd but is there no possibility of persistent configuration command line using a suitable tool? I wish the script post-installation configuration.

    Thank you for your tricks.

What you're looking to do exactly?

You talk about post-install, but after what? OS? Samba?

    Thanks for your response,

I would like to write a script to run once the OS installed. This script:
    - Configure the network (ongoing)
    - Configure samba and active (already)
    - Install, configure and active webmin (ongoing)

The idea is to quickly reinstall the file server in the event of disk failure. This is not optimal, but is waiting to be integrated into OpenSolaris and install the boot on ZFS.

Re: How to setup Static IP Configuration

You will find explanations for switching from one mode to the mode NWAM
    classic manual nwamd (1M):

To go from auto-magic mode to manual mode:

    %Svcadm disable svc:/network/physical:nwam
    %Svcadm enable svc:/network/physical:default

    These changes are persistent.
