I have a hp HDX 16 with vista service pack 1. It works just fine but i cant connect through my Ethernet cord. my wireless works just fine, but when i go to use a cord it wont work. the green light is on. i cant figure out why this is happening.

May be the problem is with your cord.

Have you configured the ethernet Network Connection properly? I assume you are using the router to connect to the internet. Did you enable DHCP on the router so the Computer can connect to the router as soon as the cable is connected. DHCP lets computers to be auto configured. Post back...
the router works just fine, other people have used it with no problem. And its not the cord. When it is asking me how i want to connect to the internet the only option is wireless
