    How to Disable Dell mcafee Alert System

    Hello All , I Have New dell laptop and There is a Free McAfee antivirus and firewall that is Shipped With my Dell computer and it is Having problem with my Internet Connection , But When I tried to Disable the Firewall , it Cannot be Disable , it remain active in my System Tray , I Found there is a program called NotifyAlert.exe it checks for updates.and slow down my computer i also dont want that to remain active , please tell me How to Disable Dell Mcafee Alert System? thanks in advance for your help

    McAfee products are enabled by default when you start your computer.

    To disable a McAfee Product in Dell
    • Right-click on the McAfee icon beside the system clock.
    • Click the program you want to disable and click Disable.
    • Click Yes to confirm your choice.
    • The McAfee icon is black until the program is not reactivated.

    Hello , Well if you are Having problem with the Firewall then you can try disabling it only , to Disable Mcafee Personal Firewall

    Uninstalling Personal Firewall / Plus:
    • Click the Start button
    • then click Control Panel. The panel. Appears.
    • Double-click Add / Remove Programs. The dialog option appears.
    • Locate McAfee Personal Firewall Plus in the list of installed programs and click once to select it.
    • Click modify / Remove.
    • then McAfee Personal Firewall Plus will be removed from your computer.
    • Note: If at any time you are prompted to remove shared files, answer Yes every time.
    • Restart your computer if prompted.

    Step 1 - Uninstall your McAfee consumer products using Add/Remove Programs in the Windows Control Panel

    • Windows 2000/XP
      • Click Start, Settings, Control Panel.
      • Double-click Add or Remove Programs.
      • Select the McAfee SecurityCenter product.
      • Click Remove and follow the steps provided
      .
    • Windows Vista
      • Click Start, Search, type Programs and Features, and click Go.
      • Double-click Programs and Features.
      • Select the McAfee SecurityCenter product.
      • Click Uninstall and follow the steps provided.



    Step 2 - Download and run MCPR.exe

    1. Download the removal tool from:


      http://download.mcafee.com/products/...tches/MCPR.exe

    2. Click Save and save the file to a folder on your computer.
    3. Navigate to the folder where the file was saved.
    4. Make sure all McAfee windows are closed.
    5. Double-click MCPR.exe to run the removal tool.

      Note: Windows Vista users must right-click MCPR.exe and select Run as Administrator.
    6. Restart your computer after receiving the message CleanUp Successful.
      Your McAfee product will not be fully removed until the system is restarted.
