Error : 16 bit MS-DOS subsystem NTVDM CPU illegal instruction

I have setup network with 10 computer(windows xp), all the pc access internet through router. The pc can connected to the router with limited connectivity but can't access internet. It shows error message "16-bit MS DOS Subsystem; NTVDM CPU has encountered an illegal instruction". How do i get it back to normal?

Start System Configuration Editor (Sysedit.exe).If this program starts correctly, then there is not an issue with either the NTVDM or the Windows on Windows subsystem. The problem then is with your program not Windows NT. If the program is an older version and requires EMS memory, you must configure it.

Check the Autoexec.nt and Config.nt files for anything unusual or anything that can be commented out. Run SystemFileChecker (sfc.exe) or delete/re-extract the possibly corrupt ntvdm files. Add setver in config.nt, increase FILES number in config.nt.
