How to transfer files over VPN

I'm having two pc one at home and one at office. On both computers i had installed Windows Xp. Now i would like to know that how can i transfer files between my home computer and the office computer over VPN. Can any body tell me that how can i do it? Does any body knows about it? Kindly provide me the solution for the above issue.

For that you need to go to start menu, then need to select control panel and then select network and Internet connections and then click on network connections and need to select the properties menu of the connection that you have created on your system. There you wiil see an additional option on the 'security' and 'networking' tabs. That security tab will allows you to specify additional security and authentication settings.

Hey are you using routers on both side? Are all your files and folders been shared? for that you need to open up your VPN connection and check out whether it is established or not.

If you have a vpn tunnel between you client and your network, then you can easily access the pcs as well as in your cxan access in the office. let say for example:\\pcname\c$ -> copy C:\files\ -->paste.
