    How to uninstall sunbelt firewall

    Hi,

I had a sunbelt firewall installed and now I want to uninstall and just before the end of my Windows XP has crashed. Result was the famous blue screen with the white warnings.

If I now try to install the firewall, the installer tells me repeatedly that the firewall already installed "and stops.

What can I do to uninstall Sunbelt firewall from my XP pc? Help!

Support of Sunbelt me just propose the following:

I think that it would be best to do a clean install.

Navigate to the following folder: C:\Program Files\Sunbelt
    Software\Personal Firewall\Config

PFT Copy the configuration file to the location of your choosing.

Uninstall the firewall through add / remove programs.

Run the following utility to remove any Remnants of the software.

    http://www.sunbelt-software.com/ihs/SKPFClean.4.3.exe

    Restart your computer.

Go to Start / Run / msconfig / startup and uncheck the Sunbelt. Files that were created after the installation (configuration files, log files) are not removed. After the personal firewall is uninstalled, these files can be manually removed or retained for reinstallation later)
