Can any body tell me that why i'm unable to craete a a new profile in Microsoft Outlook 2000? What can i do in order to get rid of the above issue? Kindly provide me the correct solution for the above issue. |

Outlook uses RPCs to make calls to the network. RPCs permit Outlook to send calls to many different protocol stacks. The calls depend on the protocol stack that is available on the computer. The most common protocol is TCP/IP. Other RPC protocols include NetBIOS, NetBIOS over TCP/IP, and IPX/SPX. If a client computer sends the appropriate RPC protocol requests, the server must have those protocols available for it. If you want you can check out the following link. |

For that you need to go to your manual configuration and then click on the More Settings button and then you need to go to the Security tab and then select the Always Prompt for Authentication setting and try out again. This will force Outlook to prompt you for a username and password and then you can verify that you are passing the correct credentials for the mailbox you are trying to connect to. When you click More Settings you may get an error or get a username prompt, just cancel or close these if they pop up and continue to the Security tab. |

According to my best of knowledge, you need to first verify thet DNS and NetBIOS name resolution whether it is working on the client, i.e., that the client can resolve the name of the server. |
