error message; isprod could not be found

The subject error message appeared when I used Vista HP for the first time, the Norton Protection Centre (2009) icon in my tray has a red cross over it.

I have a Nortons box on my screen which does not have any words on it.

What can I do to correct this?

I have been to the Nortons Website and tried the help chat facility but it won't install completely (i am using explorer for this)

I think you need to try reinstalling Norton anti-virus on your machine, even this won't solve your problem you may also take help of norton online help,there you might get the solution to your problem. This may be an Internal Norton problem which you will find an answer by talking with their technical persons.

uninstall the anti virus, Again reinstall the whole package. If still resides within you computer hard drive try to format or wipe whole drive.

thanks for the responses guys. Tried the on line chat, the website partially installed the chat software than stopped. i was using explorer at the time.

I will go there again, tho and give another go.
