Turnoff TCP settings which is not compatible with router

I think my TCP settings are not compatible with my router. I want to disable and re-enable the TCP settings to check whether it solves the issue. But how can I turnoff the TCP settings since TCP is a protocol and as per my knowledge the protocol cannot be turned off.... Please help..

I agree that TCP is a protocol. However, it's possible to turn it off. You can turnoff the TCP settings by -

Start > Control Panel This opens up your network connections.
Right-click on your network card settings (typically called "Local Area Connection").
Choose Properties.
Scroll down and click on "Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)"
Click on the "Uninstall" button.

Re: Turnoff TCP settings which is not compatible with router

Look TCP and IP are the network protocols or technology that connects your computer to the internet. TCP means Transmission Control Protocol and IP means Internet Protocol. There is a big problem with disabling the TCP/IP settings, you would be disconnecting yourself from the internet.
There might be a problem with your router. I would suggest you to check your router configuration or re-configure your router instead of turning off your TCP/IP settings...

So in order to reconfigure your router you have to go to the routers homepage? What can you configure there? I have not seen an area there that will allow you to change the TCP.
