Difference between normal Router and Gaming Router?

I'm assembling PC for the online gaming. But why do i need the gaming router for this? Whats the relation in gaming and router? Do normal router won't do this work? I need suggestions as early as possible. Thanks for any help

Actually gaming routers have more ethernet ports and sends up to 10GB/S as they require high speed internet connection. And normal routers have 1 to 10 ethernet ports and they can sends up to 100Mb/s to 1Gb/s.

Gaming routers gives more better support for QoS (Quality of Service) , that helps prioritize gaming packets over other traffic on your network. But most decent routers these days support QoS and allow you to priortize packets, you don't need a gaming router to do that , there are other reasons why the gaming router is nice. But normal router will also do full fill basic online gaming needs.
