Norton"A necessary file could not be loaded" (1002,1)

Am using Norton AntiVirus from the very first almost when i purchased my new computer and am very satisfied with its performance but just now it has expired. so instead of purchasing new license I upgrade my anti-virus to the 2008 version and I have also remove the old version with Windows (XP Professional) Add/Remove programs. I have installed and it has been successful till middle but it suddenly gives the message "Error: A necessary file could not be loaded (1002,1) after installing a Norton 2008 program." I followed the instruction to download and run SymFix_1002-1.exe then restarted my computer. what would be the problem, please help.

I have found on net for your answer, but i could not found any satisfied answer for this i think you need to download the latest version of required file and need to integrate with your system, and hope that it will solve your problem.

Norton Internet Security 2008 feature to "protect the files from hackers", it also seems to "protect" them from multiple accounts. You may see your related file in the C:\Program Files\Norton Internet Security directory. If Norton is installed somewhere else then you need to check the properties on the menu item. In any case if you can't see this directory from the account you want to run NIS in the solution.
