Password for 2 wire WiFi

I have a password prompt to connect to my home wi-fi network which is a 2Wire 470 Modem, Has anyone successfully setup the wi-fi access with their 2wire modem/router.I can hook up my Macbook pro with no problem by adding a $ in front of the Wep key, but that doesn't seem to work with the iphone.

please help

Hi,

You need to enter the password if iPhone asks for the WEP password, But if you are using a HEX code, then it will not gonna help you. you will have to tap an icon, which is in the upper right which will enable HEX. i hope this helps

To put the admin password, Click on settings ,select Wi-Fi - Wi-Fi network, If your network is protected with a password- it will ask for password, If it is not then your network is not protected, click on click on the network- it will join it and show a check to the left of your network.

Thank you for your help, it finally recognize the router but when it gets on the internet it showed me can not connect to the server message , then i Reset my router with the wifi on the phone turned off and then turned it on and it worked.
