    Change ip with comcast cable

    Hi,

    Is it possible to change IP address with comcast cable without replacing the network card ? if yes then how ? I tried power down and disconnect the cable from my modem for a few minutes. but no help.

    Please help

    Hey what i suggest you is to unplug the cable from the modem for few seconds and then reconnect it. if it doesn't work then try ipconfig /release , ipconfig /renew. Looks like I'll have to wait for it to change. i hope this helps.

    If you have a Router then make MAC clone off another PC this one will reset and change your IP at comcast. If you only have one network card then shift your MAC id. cable modem is a dumb box you should also use a router with your cable modem and then its easy to clone and/or make your own to get the IP to change.
