How to create an Ethernet network connection between TVIX HD M-6500A & MAC

    Hello,

I have problems recognizing my SD multimedia DVICO TVIX HD M-6500A connected directly to a Power G5 iMac with Tiger 10.4.11 without Ethernet router.

My drive is formatted to NTFS to gain access to files larger than 4 GB
It works very well with the TV. My settings are:

    • In System Preferences, Sharing, I usually:
in services: Mac File Sharing, Windows Sharing, Remote Session and FTP access,
    in Firewall: SMS (without netbios)

    • In the network preferences of Mac
    Configuration: Automatic,
    Views: Ethernet,
    TCP / IP:
    Configure IPv4: Manually
    IP Address: 172.28.1.70
    Subnet: 255.155.0.0
    Router: 172.28.1.70
    Applying an IPv6 address appears.

    • In the TVIX:
    Setting default network: Wired,
    Conf. Wireline IP: Static IP
TVIX Network Info, Network Disk 1: Slow (SAMBA)
    Server Name: tvixhd1 (original)
    Server IP: 192,168,000,001 (original)

Restarting FTP server (FTP server restarts successfully)
FTP: ID - tvixftp, PW-A5E8DA (ECRI shaded, I think it's username and password)

    RBROWSER I installed version 4.4.8.5
In the box dialoque, Password Policy: (click) Use KeyChain
    Alert: (click) FTP Only
    Login Panel: Protocol: FTP
Hodt / URL: 192,168,000,001 (IP network disk 1)
    Username: ID - tvixftp
    Password: A5E8DA

After all the solutions that I propose, the browser runs Rbrowser and finally indicate an error.

I have the same problem as you do not create a network between my TVIX 6500A and my mac osx.

I was not yet formatted the disk to NTFS, in fact I am afraid of losing data can be TVIX can you explain how to proceed from A to Z format.

In fat32 I transfer a movie via usb 3 GO HD but not limitation requires FAT 32.

And have you tried to transfer large files via the software NTFS for mac OSX?

    Thank you in advance

SD TVIX is the original format in NTSF format, which allows files over 4GB Here is a link to obtain satisfaction in principle with a Mac
Setting Network Configurations in the TViX HD (Macintosh). Unfortunately I am not sure that you will understand the explanation.

MacDrive allows for full compatibility between PC and MAC for writing and reading data. Once installed on a PC platform. You will not only format your DD in HFS + but also to read and write on it. So you have a perfect compatibility between PC / MAC.

For once against attention formatted HFS + and if you go with your DD to put it on another PC you will need to install Mac Drive on the PC so that your disk is recognized.
