Kaspersky making browser to run slow

Hello there,
I have windows XP running on my desktop. I installed Kaspersky antivirus security on my desktop. Since then i observed that my browsing speed is very slow. I am using internet explorer 7. How to fix it?

Check for latest updates for Kaspersky and update it. Then run full system scan and delete the infected files if found.
Delete all cookies, temporary files and history from Internet Options. If you are using any P2P software like utorrent or limewire. Then disable it and check the browsing speed.

Try to use another browser like Mozilla Firefox. Restore the internet explorer settings by following way:

• Click on Start
• Go to Control Panel
• Double click on Internet Options
• Then click on Advanced tab
• Click on Restore button
• And click Apply and OK

Change the Network packets rules "Any incoming TCP stream" and "Any incoming UDP stream" from "According to the application rule" to "Deny". This make your system stealth rather than closed under GRC's ShieldsUp test.
