This behavior may occur if all the following conditions are true: NetBIOS over TCP/IP is not turned on (enabled) on one or more computers in the workgroup.
The Computer Browser service is not started or is turned off on one or more computers in the workgroup.
NetBIOS over TCP/IP is not turned on (enabled) on one or more computers in the workgroup.
The Computer Browser service is not started or is turned off on one or more computers in the workgroup.
This behavior may also occur if File and Print Sharing for Microsoft Networks is not installed or is blocked by Windows Firewall.

    1. Click Start, click Run, type regedit in the Open box, and then click OK.
    2. Locate and then double-click the following registry subkey : HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Lsa
    3. In the right pane, double-click restrictanonymous.
    4. Make sure that the value in the Value data box is set to 0, and then click OK.
    5. Close Registry Editor.
    6. Restart the computer.

Check all IP settings against machine. What are you using for DNS and WINS?Enable NetBIOS over TCP/IP on one or more computers in the workgroup. To do that, go to properties of Local Area Connection>properties of Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)>General> Advanced>WINS, check Enable NetBIOS over TCP/IP (If you have a DHCP-assigned IP address, select Use NetBIOS setting from the DHCP server ). 2) Make sure the Computer Browser service is started.
