    optimize.exe is it a trojan ?

    Hello,

I use Win ME, and when I download (Kazaalite), my antivirus (AVG)

As I said the file optimize.exe is located in : C/windows/downloaded program files/istactivex.dell

    C / Program File / ddm2/optimize.exe

I susceptible it as being trojans ....

Can you inform me if this is true or if it is only the spy?

    Thank you in advance.

    Hi,

Optimize.exe is a process belonging to an advertising program. This process monitors your browsing habits and distributes the data back to the author's servers for analysis. This also prompts advertising popups. This process is a security risk and should be removed from your system.

    Hi,

If you want to remove it manually. Open the Windows Task Manager, use the combination of CTRL+ALT+DEL or CTRL+SHIFT+ESC, then Click on the "Image Name" button to search for "optimize.exe" process by name and
Select the "optimize.exe" process and then click on the "End Process" button to kill it.
