Need help in retrieving CuteNews Password

Hi all. I am new to this forum and some serious help from you all. I use Cutenews for news management system because it supports commenting, archives, search function, file upload management, backup & restore, IP banning, flood protection. The problem is that i forgot my CuteNews password and am unable to retrieve the password and due to that my server is not allowing me to send an mail. Do you guys have any suggestion what can i do here?

Once you forget the password in Cutenews, you cant retrive it back. But you can change it from users.db.php. So to change the password:-

• Go to your CuteNews folder and open users.db.php.
  
• Now find your username in users.db.php.
  
• You can see that after your username there is a long string of letters and numbers. Thats is your crypted password.
  
• In order to change your password, you need to delete this password string and make a new password in md5 format.Use online encoder tool to encode any string into a MD5 hash. MD5 is used often to encrypt passwords before storing them into a database.MD5 is a widely used cryptographic hash function with a 128-bit hash value.
  
• Once you made the password in md5 format, replace with the crypted password in users.db.php and save.
