Avg free 8.0.3 unable to update

i have windows xp every time my avg free gives a message that is not updated, but as I manually try to update nothing happens ,the update window get disappears and then update popping display again .how can I fix this? thank you

newer version comes with some good fixes so i will recoment you to just update to latest new version and install it ...also go for update windows service pack .

this is mostly due to file corrupt so Remove everything from AVG and get it from another source inside and try it again..
