    Hi Everyone!
I had installed windows 7 & i am having a net connectivity of Hathway in Mumbai. I want to connect Xbox 360 to windows 7 & to my net connectivity. I want that the PC will be with USB and Xbox with Ethernet cable. I tried for few hours installing Scientific Atlanta modem, but was not successfull. Can someone help!

Is that Hathway Modem driver is not compatible with Windows 7...??

I have a DSL modem connected to Linksys router via Ethernet. And have an Ethernet cable which goes from my router directly to my basement into my Xbox360 and it works perfectly.

DSL modem can work with a USB cable as well. The USB cable would go from the DSL Modem into computer giving it internet. The Xbox 360 would still need an ethernet cable. I do not believe you can plug in the usb cable to the Xbox360 to get Xbox Live.

    OR

Your USB cable modem should have a RJ-45 ethernet port. You can use an ethernet cable and hook it up directly to your Xbox 360 while you use the USB connection for your PC. However, since your modem is probably connected to the wireless router, it's better to use an ethernet cable to connect your router and Xbox 360. Simply plug in an ethernet cable to the back of your wireless router (it should have a couple of RJ-45 ports) and run the cable to the port on the back of your Xbox 360. That should give you a connection to Xbox Live.
