    Network Manager fails to connect

    hi,
    After installing Ubuntu on my Pc (overwriting Windows XP) i am facing problem while connecting internet by wifi.My wifi is connected to a USB port, it is recognized by linux, Network Manager has the WiFi on, when I click on my wireless network (secured with a WEP key), it asks me to enter the wep key,but after entering wep key it agains ask,When I try to connect to the network of my neighbor it says Unable to connect wifi.Does anyone know what causes this issue and how to fix it?Any help will be extremely appreciated.

    does it see other wifi networks?? check system->admin->hardware drivers, to see if there any wifi drivers you can use..

    hi,
    wireless router automatically survey and choose the channel to slove the problem go to the console for Wireless management disable the automatic channel and select channel 10 of the wifi router,after that Choose a WPA key only in alphanumeric.

    • Click Start, then Run.
    • Type inetmgr, then click OK.
    • Right click on the Server name (location) immediately under Internet Information Services.
    • Click Disconnect.
    • Close the Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager window.
    • Click Start, then Run.
    • Type services.msc, then click OK.
    • Right-click the IIS Admin Service and click Restart.
