Virus via msn, skype, etc. outside impact

I have a problem, my friend claims I sent him the virus over msn / skype, his computer is shown down, and I just wonder if I could have sent him the virus but it has affected my own computer? If I have what would it mean that I should pay for compensation?

Hope somebody out there can help me with this problem.

To start with, 1, you need not pay compensation, and 2, it is his own fault if he has clicked on your link, he can just as well blame on you maybe because he is a bad friend and want you to pay for losses due to his fault i.e. you may not even have the virus.

It is it where you send a link even if you are offline? And if you touch it you get the virus. It any case, these links I get kicked in the head all the time. So no one can blame and I think you dont have to pay anything since it is his own fault.

According to him, I have sent the virus with all the messages I sent over msn / skype, he believes this is possible, but am I going wrong?

It is impossible.. he has obviously got the virus from another source. Maybe he has not had a good AV or has not had an active firewall, whatever. But I know one thing, he is lying.

Well, to start with, I can tell you that the viruses are rife on MSN that does not "destroy" your computer. Your "friend" is probably a nerd who stubbornly insists that the computer is broken because it just works as it should.

You can tell him that he can try to format the computer.
Don't talk unless you can improve the silence.
