Hello , In Our Office we Have A small Setup , Of Router of Swith Avg Antivirus and Windows Firewall were installed at the moment.Just Sometime Back i Got the Error When I Tried to Access the Router Settings , using http://192.168.0.1 , I Got this timeout error. Thanks in Advance For Your Replies

Hello , Open Command Prompt then type ... ping 192.168.1.1 then try tracert 192.168.1.1 The first test (ping) will tell you if your router can be seen by your system. The second test (tracert) will show the route to your router. If the router cannot be seen by either of these tests try rebooting the router, make sure you leave it switched off for at least 30 seconds before switching back on.

If you can ping it, then that indicates that not all communication between the modem and the PC is lost. Therefore something else could be blocking ie. software firewall on PC.Have you rebooted your PC making sure that the modem is turned on first and settled down ?A factory reset using the reset button - did you hold it in for 20 seconds and watch the modem lights go out and restart indicating the modem was rebooting after factory reset?Factory reset requires the power be left turned ON and the button held in - your description sounds like "turned it off and held in reset button" which will not perform a factory reset.A couple of factory resets can restore them sometimes, I've seen them require up to 3 or 4 factory resets before the modem finally gets the idea.

Make sure your TCP/IP is set to "assign IP Address Automatically" and "Use DNS Server for WINS resolution", then bypass the router and see if you can get an IP Address directly from your ISP's servers and connect now. If you can, the router is hosed and either needs the firmware reset or to be tossed. Zeroize the router with the reset button and try once more: If it still won't connect replace the router. If your PC won't connect going directly to the modem then it's not the router. Uninstall and reinstall TCP/IP, ping the NIC at its loopback address 127.0.0.1 and reinstall the drivers. Run an AVS on your client to see if it has a virus. The NIC itself may be bad, even if you can ping it, so pick up a new one and try again

Hello , I have come accross this before, you may have to lower the security settings in IE7 for the local intranet, go into tools>>internet options>>Security and lower the setting, also you may have to play ablout with ActiveX etc settings to allow IE7 access to the webpage.Also allow popups, some routers use that.

I think you should check the Internet Options Settings in control panel. Delete all offline content and increase the size of temporary internet folder. Reduce the Privacy and security settings and remove proxy settings if any. Even Antivirus and internet security software can also block you from accessing this page.

Make sure that the cable connection to your computer is via one of the four LAN ports and not the WAN (internet) port. If you are connected to the WAN port, you will not see the router!!
