    if you can not access the router..

    1. start>run type cmd and at prompt type ipconfig gateway IP is your router IP.

    2. username:admin, password: password (old unit 1234)

    3. I would suggest to disable firewall (common not able to access)

    4 use IE browser.

    5. Mac user, I would recommend to use PC IE broswer

    6. never ever ever use wireless for setups unless minor change in router.
    use ethernet cable

    7. to do firmware upgrade you have to use ethernet cable or you will corrupt the router

    WEP keys are easily defeated. You can reset it just by using a small pin in the router rear hole between the power feed and the 1st lan socket, you'll need to put back in all of your settings afterwards.

    WirelessKeyView recovers all wireless network keys/passwords (WEP/WPA) stored in your computer by the 'Wireless Zero Configuration' service of Windows XP and by the 'WLAN AutoConfig' service of Windows Vista. It allows you to easily save all keys to text/html/xml file, or copy a single key to the clipboard.

    Use an Ethernet cable to connect the PC to the router since no encryption is involved. You can then log into the router as per the instructions in the manual, and read the wireless key in the wireless settings.

    You can download the manual for your version of the router here;
