    Problem Router with two subnet

    hi,
I'm not sure I understand that 10 subnet is not private ip,All ten of the hosts are connected to router. but if i configure host with another subnet 255.2555.255.0, Is there something different in how the private addresses are subnetted compared to Classful A,B,C addresses are subnetted?
Any recommendations and suggestions are appreciated.

ISP may not be a total idiot for "assigning" this IP space in the first place. It would only work on your 10/24 or 10/8 network and possibly to reach the ISP's.servers / routers and that is likely it.

You can recognise a Class A address because the first octet is a number from 1 to 126 inclusive. So any of the below IP addresses are class A.

    10.1.2.4

    120.2.3.5

    125.1.2.3

Network devices recognise a Class A address as such because the numbers are checked in binary and the first number in the first octet always begins with the number 0. Class A addresses lock the first octet for network numbers. The remaining three octets can be used for host numbers.

Each IP address is usually represented in decimal form, However, each IP address is actually used by computers in binary form. You may have noticed a huge flaw in IP version 4: the amount of unique IP addresses is limited! To be exact, only 4,294,967,296 unique IP addresses can be created. This may seem like a large number but keep in mind every single device in the world needs a unique IP address to communicate with one another while online.
