VPN session is interrupted every 3 minut minutes

I have a Linksys wrt110 that actually works excellent, but I have the problem that when I work at home via a VPN connection will be disconnected from each 3 minutes. It can not be workplace server that throws me off, because my colleagues do not have this problem. The included manual gives no instructions, and on-line support from Linksys is just as enlightening. Does anybody have an idea of how to change the router's setup.

Try to put it to the router with a network cable instead of running wirelessly. Just to see if it is wireless is the problem.

The computer I work from is connected with power cord. I have been in the router's setup, but could find nothing about the problem (even in the help-function).

1.Try to change the MTU to 1404 in the router
2.See if there is new firmware for the router and server

If you still have problems, what vpn client do you use? Have seen that there was newer version to resolve the problem.

1) mtu = 1404 meant that I was not even able to log-in picture to the remote desktop

2) for both the Linksys and Realtek him, I think it is quite confusing as to search for. update firmware for the router requires that a file on the PC for updates. where is it? servers are: Network Card: Realtek RTL8139/810x Family Fast Ethernet NIC
