Ethernet Connection Drops every 5-7 min

Hello,

I have a problem with the router D-link 562T operating systems Window Vista and SeVeN no suitable driver for USB but I solved the problem but Connect the Ethernet connection is dropped every 5-7 minutes that it might be and how to fix it?

Hi,

Try the settings in the Advanced> ADSL leave the check box only for G.lite Enabled. For the experiment, first remove the phone receiver and check whether it breaks!

Is your firewall active? Does it seem to happen at regular intervals, say, x days after a reboot? Perhaps coincidental with the DHCP lease time set my the administrators of the DHCP server? A quick call to your campus office of IT should let you know how long their DHCP lease time is and take it from there.

Need more information on this problem. Are you getting a error message when the error occurs? Are you using wireless or direct LAN line to connect? Did these computers work before and just recently began to drop connection?

I resolved my issue by going

Control Panel>Network Connections>Lan>Properties>Configure>Advanced>Smart Power Down ***set to disable.
