Hello everybody, needs some helps regarding the topics above....Mr. Google seems not much helping me...

As the topic tittle I'm having problem to configure my sharing file between my desktop using the wireless..
This happen suddenly, before this I can share normally..

When I try to figure any file to sharing... an error something like this occur...

"An error occur while trying to share < folder name >. The server service is not started. The share resource was not created at this time."

Then when I'm googling around found that the service of "lanmanserver" under the Computer management >Service And Application > Service was not started. Even the startup type been configure to ' Automatic '.

When trying to manually start the service...another error occur.

"Could not start the server service on local computer. Error 5 : Access is denied"

Googling again and nothing more much helping me..so here I am..

    Thanks for reading.Regards.

    Look at the following:

Using Regedit.exe ... HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Lsa DWORD KEY "restrictanonymous" = 0 Then reboot. I'm pretty sure the default for this should be "1".

This will lower your security setting so you will want to make sure you are using a 3rd party firewall such as Zone Alarm.

    Hi,

Please try expanding the srvsvc.dll from the installation media to the system32 folder to check if it is helpful?

    expand E:\i386\srvsvc.dl_ C:\Windows\system32\srvsvc.dll

If it doesn't work, please try repairing install the problematic system.

    Please refer to:

Is "simple file sharing" enabled? To check, go to My Computer click on Tools -> Folder Options. Click the View tab. In XP Pro the very last option in the list (for all of my computers at least) is "Use Simple File Sharing". This may not be your problem, because if it was I would expect your question to be more like "Why can't I share a folder" or "the security tab won't show up in Properties". Still, it could be related and it's worth checking out.
