connection failed message in n/w connection

    Hi ,
I am xp professional user. i am not able to connect to the local area network. It was showing limited and no connectivity. Then i disabled the network connection and enabled. then it showing an error "connection failed". Later i was not able to enable it. I rebooted my machine still it is same.

why is it happened? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

    Thanks,

Have you tried reinstalling the driver for your ethernet card? Are you able to ping your ip address or any sites? Refer to some suggestions given here: Wireless Limited or No Connectivity

Seem to be the setup problem, either improperly configured or unable to receive the signals (if using wireless router/modem). Just check your configurations on your computer and also on your router/modem. Also if your are using wireless device then bring it to the range and retry again.
