    How to Reset Wireless Router or access point in vista

    Hi friends,

    When I tried to connect to my security enabled connection I got a message that it could not connect. When I clicked Diagnose This Problem, I got a message, "If you own or set up this network, reset your wireless router or access point and try connecting again." How can i reset my router?

    Please help!

    If Windows does not detect a network that you think is in range of your computer, it could be because the wireless router or access point is turned off or is not working properly. Check this:
    1. Make sure the router or access point is turned on and that the wireless signal light is illuminated.
    2. Reset the router or access point by turning it off, waiting at least 10 seconds, and then turning it back on.

    Resetting the router or access point will temporarily disconnect everyone from the network.

    Try this:
    Connect to a LAN port (not the WAN port).
    Change the 'LAN IP address' to an unused IP address on your LAN.
    On Home- DHCP: Disable the DHCP server.
    On Home-WAN: Set the WAN port to Static IP and then configure the Static IP address to bogus values:
    IP address = 99.99.99.99
    Netmask = 255.255.255.0
    Gateway = 99.99.99.100
    DNS = 99.99.99.100
    Reboot the router.
