How to set up Installation of Printer and its additional Drivers

Hi,

I am Newbie to the Printer Installation, I have taken new HP laserjet printer and wanted to make installation with my computer. is it requires any drivers to download from the internet to install my printer, I know this is very little process to complete but I am confused where to start...

please help

Hi,

if the print drivers are signed you can use prndrvr.vbs (XP in \system32,Vista in \system32\printing_admin_scripts\en-us) or rundll32 in either OS to call into the printui interface. If the drivers are not signed you will have to use rundll32.
