Retry time not reached for any host

One of our customers had some difficulties with his Mailserver (for acouple of hours....). Now it is up and running but Exim still claims:

R=lookuphost T=remote_smtp: retry time not reached for any host after a long failure period

I tried to search on how to clear this information but somewhat failed. I only came along exim_tidydb.

Would this be the best way to tell exim, that the hosts now accepts mail again. If so would "exim_tidydb /var/spool/exim retry" be the correct option or is there another - perhaps better - solution ?
