11.1 and the bootloader bug?

I have a weird problem with suse 11.1 and the bootloader settings. If I tred the bootloader startup options ,such changes in his windows and need to start or if I have such a password in the boat loader would like to start the boat loader than not I get one - the top of the picture when I PC reboots.

And if I restore it via the CD is still not only after reinstalling suse is that good.

Is this a bug or something? I have looked on the suse site and that the boat loader is not bugged:

Does anyone here also problem with the suse bootloader? or knows someone a solution to fix it.

Re: 11.1 and the bootloader bug?

It seems to me that the bootloader is bugged. Grub this is too long a very reliable program. I only have a few questions for you:
- How have your bootloader (grub.conf) adjusted? Via yast2 or another option?
- What is your partition layout (fdisk-l) and what is the contents of grub.conf?
- When you see the flashing bar? Immediately after the POST or after the bootloader screen?

Re: 11.1 and the bootloader bug?

openSUSE does not use grub.conf but menu.lst.
This can be found in / etc / grub / menu.lst.

You can simply open the text editor with root rights.
for your output of the command fdisk-l is required.
