    Cannot connect to wireless router

    Hi
    Hi good evening,
I have Windows Vista installed on my Notebook. Windows vista shows my D-link router but when i try to connect with it the connection gets fail. I don't know what is the problem. When i try to connect with LAN cable it gets connected without any problem. I have tried to connect witout security but still it won't get connect. Any one have idea? what could be the problem?
    Thanks for any suggestions.

Is your laptop a ThinkPad or from a known brand? It's possible there are third party protection utilities running that you are unaware of. With the ThinkPad for example: ThinkVantage disconnects File a Print sharing at every reboot

Get the latest drivers for the device before you start trying to connect check the address of the router and make sure that MAC filtering is also off.
