Port Forwarding Help Please.

I was hoping to do some port forwarding for utorrent but I realized that I forgot the default user name and password, so I was hoping you guys on the forum could help me out.

I am using a SMC 8014WG router.



And just so you guys know, i don't need help on the forwarding itself, just the password.

The BEST source of information about what this default password is, is the INSTRUCTION MANUAL that came with the router.

If you don’t have the instruction manual, you can usually download a copy from the manufacturer’s web site support page. (The manual is extremely useful for a lot of other things you’ll be needing when you get involved in “port forwarding”, and is a good thing to keep on your hard drive.)

Go to portforward.com, click on the routers hyperlink on their front page, hit ctrl+F, type in your router model, it should tell you the default PW and username.

@Snake08: i just tried the manufacturers website and there were no downloadable manuals. but thanks for the input.


@Milton.J: that was the first site i went to to find the PW and username, and you did have the right page. but it did not have the info. and thanks for trying to help
