Having Network issue.

Hello,

I have several computers in my room with Windows Xp install on it. They are shared with same domain name. My problem is that whenever i try to access their shared document, it doesn't ask me for any password and i can easily access any computer. I have given password option to all computers but it still does not ask me for any password. Can any one help me out to solve this problem?

May i know that which version of Windows Xp are you using on your computers? Is it Xp Home Edition or XP Professional? Is Windows Updates install on all your computers?

I have install Windows Xp Professional on all my computers. Even they are updated as well. I have given all the computers password protected accounts but still i can access each other documents easily and it don't prompt me for any password option.

Check out whether your file sharing is enable or disable? If it is showing you disable then make it enable. And then try to access any shared document. Hope so that this would work out for you.

Why are you using a domain instead of a comon Work Group??

Domains are commonly used where there are more than one Work Groups on the network

So by using "Common Work Group" can i re-collect my password option. Will it prompt me the password option whenever i'll try to access any share document from other computers?
