Windows firewall & avast

Hi,
I just found that my friend installed avast antivirus on my machine yesterday.
Now the problem is I don't know how can I turn it off since i already have windows firewall on & i think running 2 antivirus programs will harm to my system so can you suggest what to do in this situation?
How to delete Avast?
Or should I turn windows firewall off?

Well I dont think having avast along with your windows firewall will cause you any problem so let it be on your machine its a good Antivirus program.
If you turn windows firewall off it wont make any difference IMO.

It all depends on your circumstances.

If your internet connection device is a router, then most hack-attacks won't even make it as far as your PC. If you don't have illegal software installed that wants to "phone home", and you don't frequent ropey websites which install malware onto your system, then a firewall isn't needed at all really.

I have never used a software firewall and never have any problems, when I do spyware scans all I ever find are a few tracking cookies. Personally I can't stand to be plagued by software asking me every 2 seconds if it's ok for something to access the internet.

Don't worry you can use avast & windows firewall both turned on.
I don't think that will create any problem.
So be cool. Don't try to uninstall or turn Avast or windows firewall off.

I do not think that using avast and windows firewall on will create any problem to your system. Windows firewall is not a antivirus.
