How to change WAN IP address?

Currently i am banned from a battlefield 2 server, and i was banned by mistake. I already e-mailed the server and still no reply from them. I dont think they even read my e-mail. Anyways, I want to change my wan ip address (so that it will let me play on that server)

Any suggestions?

Hi,

If you are using an on-Demand dialup connection (either via DSL or Modem): Just disconnect and reconnect (normally these are using DHCP).

If using a fixed IP connection with your provider, you have to apply for a new fixed IP there with the current agreement.
If it is possible use a proxyserver on the web (if such is usable with the online game, depends from the proxy server's features and which ports are usable there, if it is an anonymous or transparent proxy e.g.)

If you are in a public internet cafe : Just use another computer
there or go into another internet cafe.

If you want to change IP within a company's computer environment, you have to use another computer there normally.

Open your router configuration and check to see if WAN is set to dynamic ip. If so, unplug the router and keep it unplugged for a few hours. If you're lucky, you'll have a new IP.

You can try releasing and renewing your IP address. This sometimes works, but your ISP will usually reassign you the same address. Comcast does this especially.
