sharing Wi-Fi without router

Why dont you look out for a PCI Wifi card on your PC and Wifi capable laptop That did wonders for me but just not sure if an additional pc or laptop will still work.

If you have the right internet card you can share yur internet in a wired or wireless network. But still I will recommend you getting a router.
The router acts as internet provider to all your units and without it one of your PCs become the host. The host PC always have to be ON for your network to work.
Even the cheapest router is better as it will provide some amount of security other than going for routerless network.

How can you even think of getting a Internet connection without having a wireless card or router t will hardly just fly in. It's easy to get software for a wireless card and they're aren't really that expensive.

Hi Friends,
I got my connection working, I was trying to share my internet connection on my desktop installed with windows xp, the source of the internet connection is a wired LAN connection and I was able to make it share internet connection to my laptop via Wi-Fi. My desktop has 2 lan cards both wired and Wi-Fi lan cards, after a week of searching and studying I was able to make it work.
